We had Dim Sum in Vancouver’s Chinatown a few years ago Lila and it was awesome – however once in a few years is far from enough! I definitely need to hit this area again when we visit this summer

Vancouver’s Chinatown is fantastic and you’re right-the food selection there is amazing and fairly cheap which is great since almost nothing is cheap in Vancouver! 😉 I recommend you check out Dim Sum in Vancouver Chinatown if you ever get a chance. Their selection and freshness rival that of the Hong Kong cafes.

I had never been to a Chinatown till I went to the one in Washington D.C in 2003. Now I am a huge fan as you get the best Chinese food there and will visit one whenever I can. My favourite would be the one in Sydney, Australia. Its not that big but the food was excellent. If I ever make it to Vancouver I will definitely have to check out their Chinatown.

I love the history of Chinese immigration into North America. I love that the one in Vancouver was Shanghai Alley – and I kind of wish it still was. I have to admit, while reading through the sites there I was shocked to see a Jimi Hendrix shrine. Before I finished the sentence I wondered to myself if he was partially Chinese and I just never knew it. So, interesting.

I definitely need to do a walking tour if I ever head there (or, I should say, when I go there.)
