Thanks so much Lila – I’m not sure what kind of tours are offered here, sadly I have yet to visit myself. Although I’d have to guess that there are no longer Sternwheelers running on the river. Sadly we had a similar boat here in Kamloops and it couldn’t make enough money to keep running tours.

I love the story about this town. Sounds so interesting and historic. Looks gorgeous too and do you know if the public are allowed to go on the sternwheelers? I bet it would be a fantastic way to see the surroundings.

So much to see, so little times. That’s why reading about some of these places is just going to have to be enough until we can get out and see more. I don’t know too many tales about the wild west and the gold rush other than what’s in movies. It seems like it would be a pretty place even with it’s troubled history. I would love to hear specific stories, wonder if they do ghost tours?

There are so many incredible small towns in BC Anabel – although I think this is true for most provinces/states/countries. Whenever we drive through the countryside in Europe I want to hop off the bus and just explore the small towns we come to. There just isn’t enough time it seems…

The gold rush days sound very similar in both out countries but given the greed associated with it, I’m not surprised.
