Ah, I do love Canada – even having been on this road trip around BC and Yukon for the last four months (!!) there is still so much to see. Can you believe that we haven’t even been to the Rockies yet?! Churchill and Newfoundland are also on my must-see list too, but they will have to wait for another road trip I think. I would love to take part in your #ConsiderCanada feature if possible!

As a fellow Canadian, I know exactly what you mean. It’s easy to tramp all over the world and forget our own, huge, country. I still haven’t made it to the Icefields, Newfoundland or the Maritimes (except for PEI a very long time ago). I love Quebec City (in summer), and Victoria. Even Ottawa was a nice surprise! Not sure I want to go to Churchill though, as I really hate the cold.

I always wanted to visit Canada but never made it so far. (My travel bug is getting nervous when hearing the word: Canada). 😀

The two biggest problems Canada has going for it from a tourist perspective are definitely cost and size – although with new accommodation options like AirBnB and couchsurfing it’s definitely becoming more viable to visit. Another great option is camping because we have so many awesome provincial parks that charge only a few dollars a night and it’s plenty warm enough in the summer. I have wanted to go to Canada for years but its always been so expensive. I am thinking I may save it for my honeymoon…:) either that or call my relatives in Toronto and get them to host me for a bit and then couchsurf my way around the rest of the country. Can’t imagine I’d be able to do it one trip either Like you said its a vast country and there is so much to visit.

This is always the toughest part of a road trip Dave, I always want to stop and take photos instead of actually covering ground and getting from A to B

I would have trouble driving on the Icefields Parkway as I’d just want to stop every 5 minutes to admire the scenery and take pictures. Traveling to Atlantic Canada as a kid was one of my favorite vacations – hope I can see some of these sites soon, too! So much natural beauty.
