One of the first places we visited when we got to Dublin was the Guiness Storehouse. I’m not a beer drinker but my husband is and he likes Guiness. That was many years ago and reading this and seeing the pictures brought back some wonderful memories of our visit there. Glad you enjoyed your first Guiness. I wish I can say I enjoyed my first sip

Thanks Angela, we debated about getting the city pass, but just got the tickets online to save a little money instead. Definitely worth the price tag in the end! Thankfully we were there in the off season so it wasn’t too busy – I’ve heard it can get pretty packed in the summer.

Great photos. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Guinness Storehouse as well. It does have a price tag, but if you get the Dublin City pass, it can make the visit cheaper if you use the pass for other attractions. Glad you splurged! I was not able to learn to pour since we got there pretty early to beat the crowds.

I have to agree it’s a great way to spend an afternoon in Dublin – we had lunch at the Storehouse and it was really good and actually quite reasonably priced as well, and I also loved the vintage posters, I could have spent all day looking at the cool old advertisements

I’m really not much of a beer drinker (I’m more of a cider girl… perfect when in the UK and Ireland!) but even I had to stop in at the Guiness storehouse when I visited Dublin. Mostly I was tempted by the fact that admission got you a free pour up in the gravity bar and had heard rumors that Guiness was the beer that drinks like a meal… And it certainly did, though I was more than a little tipsy by the end of it! I do remember the views from up there were really incredible, however, and the rest of the storehouse was a lot of fun too (loved the vintage Guiness posters). Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon (or even a morning…) in Dublin!

Me too! We really enjoyed visiting the storehouse – there was lots to see and do. Plus the view from the gravity bar is spectacular, and the Guinness is probably the best you’ll ever taste anywhere!

It’s definitely an acquired taste! I think there’s something about being there that makes it taste that much better. The factory is cool to see and the storehouse is great fun to explore!
