However the Grand Bazaar is definitely a must-visit in my opinion, there just isn’t anything else out there like it 🙂

However I guess that’s the way the world is moving, more and more export and import at the expense of the art of handcrafts. However we still really enjoyed experiencing the ancient Bazaar – it’s an incredible sight!

Walking around in there it’s so easy to get lost 🙂 I don’t like getting hassled either, although there was plenty more of this in Turkey than some other places we’ve visited it wasn’t as bad as the horror stories we read online.

It must be an assault on the sense. All the bright colours, smells and sounds. Good to know that people don’t heckle you as much as you anticipated. That would really deter me too. That birds eye view of the Grand Bazaar is shocking. I never realized it is that big!

I enjoyed learning about Istanbul bazaars through your eyes. And the Turkish delight looks absolutely delicious!

I had no idea that the Grand Bazaar was so big, though. That could be a little overwhelming! I found the souks of the Old Town in Jerusalem bad enough, and that was just a few streets of shops. Enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing!

It takes a bit of time to get used to the touts trying to sell things. Luckily (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) we still had plenty of backpacking to do so I couldn’t buy much and therefore was mostly here to window shop. So sorry to hear about your experience in New York, that sucks!

I’m terrible at haggling. I once bought a fake Louis Vuitton purse in Chinatown in NYC for like 65 USD. It started falling apart a week later. Ugh. haha The food photos are killing me. Looks delicious! Lovely finding you through the Travel Tuesday linkup! xx

When we first walked in we saw a couple little shops we wanted to remember for later…that was a bad idea! It took us hours to find our way back. Although getting lost isn’t the worst thing you could do there – it makes it even more of an adventure! Thanks for visiting the blog!
